Jet - Our Border Collie
Meet Jet. She is my daughters 1yr old Border Collie. She turns 2 in August 2023.
She was born here up at the farm where her mum and sister still work.
Jet and my daughter are currently training hard in agility and loving every minute of it.
Jet has lots of energy but also knows when it’s time to wind her neck in and chill . Despite being a collie she’s also an expert napper. Once she’s out she’s out!!!
As Jet is my daughters dog she is often staying with her at her dads so isn't always around. Any familiarisation trial we will aim to have your dog meet Jet regardless though to ensure they get on.
Gilky - Our Golden Retriever
Meet Gilky. He is our seven-year-old golden retriever. Gilky is an ex guide dog.
He came to us when I was boarding guide dogs for respite cover. Gilky loved it here at the farm so much, he decided this was the life for him instead. That was 4 1/2 years ago.
Gilky is a very easy-going dog, and he gets on well with all dogs. He is happy to play but at the same time will give other dogs space if they wish and just let them be.
He’s so gentle despite his size and plays with my mum‘s two toy dogs in the most lovely way. He’s also happy to be used as a pillow, bed etc by other dogs and loves nothing more than a zoomie

A real home from home for your pooches. My dogs are tiny cross Chihuahuas and they love staying with Paula. They are secure and happy. Wouldn't put them anywhere else. it's a beautiful quiet rural setting with fantastic walks literally in the doorstep.

From the outset, this simply felt the right place to be, "Make Yourself at Home" is aptly named as that is exactly what it is, our girl was cared for and welcomed into the fold and treated as one of the family, this meant we were able to go our weeks holiday with peace of mind.
We received regular updates of a very happy doggie living her best life with her doggie pals and lots of open spaces, there were times we wondered if she would still want to come home 🤣
We cannot recommend Paula, Phil and Ryley enough and wouldn't dream of using anywhere else from now on.

We have had the great pleasure of using "Make Yourself At Home "on several occasions now to look after our 2 dogs, Jess and Breagha,and after the care and compassion shown to our dogs, I simply wouldn't put my dogs anywhere else.
Paula,Phil and Ryley show an amazing level of care and understanding and are able to put your dogs, at their ease very quickly by simply welcoming them into their home and treating them as part of the family, this in turn alleviates any anxieties you ,as an owner may have leaving your dog in others care, I personally detest conventional unfriendly kennels and cannot recommend the "Make Yourself At Home" team highly enough, our Dog Jess ,on her second visit, upon arrival rushed to the door with her tail wagging and to me you won't get a better recommendation than that.
